Dictate Safe is made by Vibhaga Group, a software company in Hyderabad, India. It began with our own clients, whose data is not allowed to leave their own systems. Their teams could not use the usual dictation apps, so we built one that works on your own computer.
It began with people who were told no.
We build software for companies. One of our products is CloudAIPilot, where teams connect their own cloud accounts and manage their infrastructure from one place. Some of our clients work under the kind of rules banks, pharma companies and government bodies live with: their data may not leave their own servers. So instead of running our software for them, we install it on theirs.
Their people wanted what everyone wants from dictation: to talk instead of type. But the apps they looked at sent their voice to a company they did not work for, where it might be kept or used to train AI. Under those rules that is a hard no, so they kept typing.
We knew the feeling. We work with AI all day ourselves, and talking to it is faster than typing. We first planned to add speech to text to CloudAIPilot. Then we saw that the need was far wider than our clients: anyone under an NDA, a company AI policy, or simply their own sense of what is private has the same problem. So we built Dictate Safe, for everyone.
It turns your speech into text on your own computer, and what you dictate never reaches us. It is a separate app: it does not need CloudAIPilot, and nothing you dictate goes there.
A small team that works like a family.
The work began in Hyderabad in 2016 and became a team in 2017, and Vibhaga Group has been a registered business since 2018. Today we are a team of 10+, and between us we cover software engineering, cloud infrastructure, AI and marketing.
Besides our own products, we build web and mobile apps and custom software for clients, and we help startups plan how to take a product to market.
Being independent means we answer to the people who use what we make, and we can plan for the next decade rather than the next quarter.

Trained as a computer science engineer, Umesh also brings wide experience in sales, marketing and business development.

What you say becomes text on your own machine. If you choose a cloud service instead, the app sends it straight to the provider you picked, with your own key, and shows you whenever that is on. Offline Lock switches every connection off.
No telemetry.

We never use what you dictate to train anything. It never reaches us in the first place.
