History and notes
Find and replay what you said, delete it for good, turn voice notes into text, and bring your history from another app.
- How do I find something I dictated earlier?Every dictation is kept in History, on your computer, with its recording. Search it by any word you said, narrow it by date, and play it back or copy it.
- How do I delete a dictation for good?Press its bin, or Select to delete many at once; the text and recording are erased and cannot be recovered, and a marker stays so your counts do not change.
- How do I turn a voice note or an audio file into text?Drop it on the Import page: WhatsApp and Telegram voice notes, Voice Memos, MP3, WAV and FLAC all work, and the text appears there and is saved to History.
- How do I dictate a quick note?In Scratchpad, press New note and dictate; notes save themselves, stay on your computer and are searchable, and a dictation with nowhere to go can become one.
- Can I bring my history from Wispr Flow or Superwhisper?Yes: the Import page finds Wispr Flow, superwhisper and Handy on your computer and copies their history into yours, without changing them or sending anything.
- How much space do my recordings take, and can I stop keeping them?Insights shows what your recordings take on disk; keep them 30 days, 90 days, 6 months or a year, or delete them now, and your transcripts are never touched.
