How do I send you a diagnostics report?
Generate report, in Settings, About, builds it on your computer for you to read, without your dictation, vocabulary or keys, and sends nothing unless you do.
Open Settings → About and press Generate report. The report is built on your computer, shown to you in full, and sent nowhere. You copy or save it and send it yourself, if you decide to.
#Make one
- Open Settings → About.
- In the Generate report card, press Generate report.
- Read it, then press Copy to clipboard or Save as file.
- Paste or attach it in your message to us.
The card says it was generated locally and that nothing has been sent anywhere. The report is on screen for you to check first.
#What is in it
A summary of your computer, your settings, and how long recent dictations took. That is what lets us see why something is slow or failing on your machine.
- It never contains anything you dictated.
- It never contains your Vocabulary.
- It never contains your API keys.
A report describes this one computer. If the problem happens on both of your computers, a report from each is the most useful thing you can send.
