Can I bring my history from Wispr Flow or Superwhisper?
Yes: the Import page finds Wispr Flow, superwhisper and Handy on your computer and copies their history into yours, without changing them or sending anything.
Yes. Open Import, and under Import from another dictation app Dictate Safe lists the dictation apps it found on your computer. Choose one, and its history is copied into yours.
#Bring it across
- Open Import, and scroll to Import from another dictation app.
- Find the app in the list. Dictate Safe looks where Wispr Flow, superwhisper and Handy keep their history, and says how many dictations it found in each.
- For Wispr Flow, choose whether to Bring the recordings too, so you can play them back here.
- Press Import.
The report says how many dictations came across. They are in your History, marked with the app they came from, and counted in Insights.
#What it does not touch
Nothing in the other app changes. Dictate Safe reads its history file, copies the text into its own History, and never edits or deletes anything there. None of it leaves your computer.
If the app is installed somewhere unusual, press Choose the file yourself and pick its history file. If a file will not open, quit the other app and try again: it may be holding the file.
Only the dictations come across. Your custom words from the other app do not, so add the ones you need in Vocabulary. superwhisper runs only on a Mac, so on Windows it is never listed. Importing the same app again brings only what is new.
