How do I add a prompt to My Palette?

Press Save on a Library prompt to add it to My Palette, your own list and the only one the floating icon searches, so an unsaved prompt will not come up there.

Updated 2026-10-10

Open Prompts, go to the Library tab, and press Save on the prompt you want. It is copied onto My Palette, which is the list the floating icon searches.

  • My Palette is yours: the prompts you wrote, and the ones you saved from the Library. When you search from the floating icon, these are the ones that come back.
  • Library is the collection of ready-made prompts you browse and save from. Nothing in it shows up in that search until you save it.

#Save one

  1. Open Prompts and choose the Library tab.
  2. Find a prompt by searching, by the filters for who it is for, category and type, or by opening one of the shelves.
  3. Press Save on it.
You should now see

The button changes to Saved, and the prompt is on My Palette, marked from library.

#Your starter set

My Palette is not empty the first time you open it. A starter set of library prompts is already saved there, so searching from the floating icon works before you have done anything. They are yours like any other: edit them, or delete the ones you do not need, and a deleted one does not come back.

#Saving without a license

Without a license, you can save up to 10 Library prompts to My Palette on each computer. Until you save one, its page shows the picture, title, summary, description and examples, and the button shows how many free saves are left. A saved prompt is yours for good: deleting it later does not give the save back, and saving one you saved before on this computer is free, even after a reinstall. A license opens the full Library, with no limit.

Keep the ones you use closest

Press the star on a prompt to make it a favourite, then the Favourites button on My Palette shows only those.

Limits

A saved prompt is your own copy. Editing it changes only your copy, and a later update to the library does not overwrite your changes.
